Work order management that survives contact with the field

A work order is only useful if the person holding a torch at 6am can complete it properly. ClearDeskPro puts the whole job on a phone: the task, the asset history, the safety steps, the parts and the evidence.

One queue for everything the team owes

Corrective jobs, preventive services, additional works and time bookings all land in a single queue that can be filtered by site, technician, status, priority and age. A planner can see what is overdue, what is unassigned and what is waiting on a part without opening four screens.

  • Priority and urgency are explicit, so the queue sorts itself into what actually has to happen today.
  • Assignment can be to an individual, a crew or left in a grab pool for whoever reaches the site first.
  • Status follows the real world: open, in progress, form started, complete, and recoverable if a job is closed by mistake.

The job form is the job

Each work order carries the form the job requires, built in the form builder rather than hard-coded. A battery inspection asks for cell temperatures and rack photos; a transformer service asks for oil readings. Fields can be mandatory, so a job cannot be closed with the important box empty.

Forms capture equipment by serial number, photographs, meter readings, parts used, faults found and signatures. Everything is stamped with who recorded it and when, which is what turns a maintenance record into evidence.

Offline by default

Sites are rural by design. The field app stores the job on the device, lets the technician work through it with no connection at all, and syncs when signal returns. Drafts survive a dead battery or a closed browser, so a two-hour inspection is never retyped.

History that answers the next question

When the same fault recurs on the same inverter, the technician sees what was done last time and what fixed it, on the job, before starting. Previous fixes for a fault are surfaced on the form rather than buried in an archive, which shortens the second visit and stops two people diagnosing the same problem twice.

Why this matters commercially: the difference between a repeat truck roll and a first-time fix is usually information the business already had, in a place the technician could not reach.

Common questions

Can technicians work without a signal?

Yes. Forms are completed offline on the device and synced when a connection returns. Drafts are preserved if the app closes.

Can we build our own job forms?

Yes. Forms are configured per work order type and asset type in the form builder, including mandatory fields, equipment checks, photos and signatures.

Does it handle both corrective and preventive work?

Yes, along with additional works and time bookings, in the same queue and with the same evidence trail.
